Each Learning Unit (LU) focuses on the acquisition and integration
of federal land remote sensing data with Geographic Information
Systems (GIS). LUs cover about two weeks of instruction and can
be used as skills-based case studies in a wide variety of courses
and as building blocks for new courses. Please note that most LUs
assume a basic understanding of GIS. For remote sensing concepts
and guidance on software use please refer to materials under Institutes, Cohort 1 & 2 Institute Training Resources.
Each LU includes three documents and data:
(1) an Instructors Guide,
(2) a Student Guide (with data), and
(3) a Curriculum Support document.
iGETT Learning Units may be used for educational
